Rehearsals for a Spring Concert on Wednesday, 3rd July, resume on April 10th at 7.30pm in St. Michael's church, Bury and Rochdale Old Road, Bamford OL10 4BB.
Admission will be free, as usual.
Music being prepared includes several short piano pieces by Mozart transcribed for Orchestra by Graham Marshall as a Suite entitled 'London Sketches'.
Other works to be played include Henry Mancini's 'Moon River', Edwin Lemare's 'Moonlight and Roses', Richard Rodgers' Blue Moon', 'Moonlight becomes you' by Jimmy van Heusen and Gounod's novelty piece, 'Funeral March for a Marionette'.
A special feature of this concert will be movements from Ravel's 'Mother Goose suite'.
The concert will be repeated in the parish church of Holy Trinity, Littleborough OL15 9DB on Wednesday, July 17th at 7.30pm.
